CASTLE PARK EARN POINT WITH LATE PENALTY.

By Admin

Only one league game took place this week when Mold Town entertained Castle Park at the Rec,

Ben Hartley gave the visitors the lead midway through the first half but they were unable to hold on to their advantage when Mold struck back in the second period when Terry Nicholas put them level. Wyn Pierce must have thought he had secured the points for the home side when he put them in front with four minutes to go but in the fourth minute of added time Castle Park were awarded a penalty which was converted by Charlie Feeney to secure a point for both teams, 2-2 the final score.
In the Welsh Cup Rhostyllen won 6-0 at home to AFC Brynford, CPD Sychdyn won 2-1 against neighbours Argoed while Ewloe Spartans went out of the competition after extra time, losing 3-2 at Lex. Aston Park Rangers also went out, going down 4-2 at home to Llandyrnog.
