Champions FC Nomads
are out of the Clwyd Cup.
F.C. Nomads of Connah's Quay have resigned from the Clwyd Cup, because they can no longer field a team. This throws a big question mark over their promotion and the future of the club.
The Clwyd League East Champions have struggled in recent weeks to field a full side, but despite this they have been provisionally accepted into the Welsh National League Division One, and are expected to resign from the Clwyd East Football League following confirmation of their promotion at the Liaison committee meeting in May.
The League had arranged for a presentation of the League Championship and Medals for the club on Tuesday, where they were due to meet Prestatyn Rovers in the first leg of their Clwyd Cup tie. Prestatyn Rovers will now receive a bye into the semi-finals.
