It's that fun time of year when I look back on the latest football season and hand out my personal awards.

Some are serious, others humourous, but all winners share one thing in common in that they made an impact on my professional life during the 2015/16 campaign.

Gaerwen FC chairman Mathew Thomas. Refused to let his club go under, never stops working for the good of the club.

Going Out on a High award
Mark Williams (Trearddur Bay United). Wins Welsh Alliance Division One at first attempt and steps down.

Goal Kings award
Rhostyllen FC. Not sure if anyone beat their 218 goals in 46 games but I don't think so. If they did I'll gladly award them the title!

Best newcomers
Rhostyllen FC. Four trophies, a run to the FAW Trophy semi-finals in their very first season. Not a bad introduction!

Best interview of the season (male)
Gareth Lloyd (Llangollen Town manager).

Best interview of the season (female)
Mari Edwards (Denbigh Town).

Unluckiest Exit
Bala Town going out of the Europa League to a last-gasp goal against Differdange 03 of Luxembourg.

Game of Thrones Best Drama award
Bangor City 4 Rhyl 3; Rhyl 3 Bangor City 4 (take your pick!).

Greatest Escape
Rhyl staying in the Welsh Premier League (and the ladies team look set to do the same).

Game of the Season
MBi Llandudno 3 Bala Town 2 (Feb 26, 2016).

Most Unexpected One-Sided Game
Port Talbot Town 0 Airbus UK 7 (Welsh Cup semi-final).

If At First You Don't Succeed award
Coedpoeth United went 21 matches without a win in the Welsh National League Premier Division before beating Ruthin Town 2-1 on May 3.

We Are The Champions (again) award
FC Nomads made it five different league titles in seven seasons by topping the WNL Premier Division but failed to meet the criteria to be promoted to the Huws Gray Alliance.

How Did They Manage to Complete the Season award
In the last 12 weeks of the season Penrhyndeudraeth managed to cram in 23 matches and won a cup final.

Small Packages Big Results award
Despite having just eight teams, the Anglesey League produced a title race which went down to the last night of the season and spawned five cracking cup finals.
