Cefn Mawr Rangers won a cracking tie at Llanystumdwy 3-2.

The North East Wales League newcomers shaded a thriller thanks to Jordan Powell (2) and Lewis Jones (pen), Jordan Woods and Meirion Pritchard for the home side.

Menai Bridge Tigers began the season in stunning style with a 6-0 caning of hosts Mynydd Isa Spartans, Danny Camilleri and Ryan Wood with two apiece, Tom Scorer and Tim Evans also on target.

Aberffraw, who had a great run in this competition last season, are on their way again after pipping Acton 4-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw.

Richard Roberts and Andrew Jones struck for Berffro, Richie Lloyd and Chris Knowles for Acton.

Offa Athletic eliminated Bro Cernyw 2-0 and Sychdyn edged the spoils 2-1 at Old Colwyn.

Jon Edmonds hit four as Halkyn United triumphed 5-1 at Hawkesbury Bell to enjoy early joint-leadership of the table.

Peter Holloway and Harvey Hammersley hit two apiece in Caerwys' 6-0 breeze at Tanyfron United,

Jac McLean and Jack Wilkes netted for Mostyn Dragons in a 2-0 beating of Bradley Park, Tom Hyndman grabbed three for gap Connah's Quay in a 6-3 win against Aston Park Rangers and late goals from Darrell Rees and Aaron North delivered Mold Town United a 4-2 outcome over Flint Mountain.
