Plas Madoc need just a single point from their visit to Offa Athletic on Thursday night to clinch the North East Wales League title.
On Tuesday, Plas made it 21 straight league wins with a 3-0 success at Acton, Dave Bullough, Keegan Jakovlevs and Craig Roberts with the goals.
Penyffordd Lions kept their slim title hopes alive after a 3-1 triumph at Rhosllanerchrugog.
Rob Salisbury, Richard Lawrence and Mark Gallagher netted for the Lions, an own goal providing the hosts with their only consolation.
Flint Mountain were held 2-2 by Brymbo Victoria, Sean Wilkes (pen) and Jon Edmonds for the hosts, Adam Lloyd and Paul Messham responding.
Darren Jones' hat-trick inspired Offa Athletic to a 3-2 verdict at Mostyn Dragons, Tom Gunther and Jake Gibbons replying.
