Halkyn Utd celebrated their home debut in the North East Wales League with a 4-1 win over Deeside Phoenix last night, two goals apiece from Aaron North and Ryan Parry secured the points for the home side,a Dylan Evans own goal for Deeside.

GRESFORD SSFC got their 2014-15 campaign off to the perfect start
with a 3-1 win over Aston FC. The division, formerly known as the Clwyd League East, has been rebranded this season and Lee Bent's brace gave Gresford the platform to claim all three points, putting them 2-0 ahead at the interval. Aston pulled a goal back before Josh Hughes added a third
on 78 minutes. There were mixed fortunes for the league's Flint-based sides, as Flint Mountain ran out 6-0 winners against Castle Park. Nick Longridge bagged two goals either side of halftime, with Chris Layne, Tom Allen,
Kieron Moore and Richard Hughes completing the rout.
However, Flint Town United were hammered 6-0 at home to Cefn Albion. Josh Williams' strike after 15 minutes gave Cefn the lead, before
Alex Williams' two goals increased the lead to 3-0 after 77 minutes.
Albion then cashed in on some sloppy Flint defending as OllieDavies (2) and Adam Davies completed the humiliation. Mold Town United fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to Flintshire rivals Connah's Quay Tigers. Mold twice fought back from a goal down, Dean Gittins' brace cancelling out strikes
from Brynley Preece and Matty Jones, before Gary McNaught nicked the win for Tigers in the 88th minute.
Aston Park Rangers beatActon FC 2-1 thanks to goals from Karl Lloyd and Ryan Hewitt. Seb Kidd reduced the arrears in the 65th minute for Acton, but could not prevent them slipping to a defeat.
