Our line up of the new NEWFL Divisions

FC Queen’s Park will be one of the flagship clubs in North East Wales League Tier 4
The new North East Wales Football League has announced the make-up of its divisions for the 2020-21 season.

There will be 41 teams competing, 16 in Tier 4, 12 in Tier 5 and a Reserves League will cater for 13 teams.

Tier 4 is the North East Wales League Premier Division and Tier 5 will be the North East Wales League Championship.

The NEWFL, part of the restructure of domestic football in Wales, is an amalgamation of the former Welsh National League (Wrexham Area) and the old North East Wales League, whose name lives on through the revamped set-up.

There is a big welcome to six new teams – AFC Bagillt, Connah’s Quay Town, Deeside FC, Llanfarthin FC, Railway Rovers and Ruabon Rovers – who join Tier 5.

High profile members of Tier 4 include former WNL Premier Division champions FC Queen’s Park, as well as Greenfield, Welsh Alliance League Division Two champions in 2015/16 and subsequently a strong presence in Division One.
