NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE – REPORTS, NOVEMBER 6
TOP MARK UNIFORMS PREMIER CUP
New Brighton Villa stormed into the semi-finals of the North East Wales Football League Premier Cup with a comfortable 7-1 success at Overton Recreational.

Man of the match Jack Neal got the visitors underway with a 25-yard screamer.

Scott Davies notched another treble and two assists to boot.

Kieran Jones scored a thunderbolt but was sent off for a late challenge.

Super sub Adam Blunden wrapped up the game with a brace, the second of which he curled beautifully into the top corner.

Overton’s goal was a great strike from Tom Huxley.

Greenfield recorded an impressive 2-1 win at Chirk Town.

Dean Hyland and an 85th minute decider from Connor Hughes clinched the victory, Aaron Davies replying for the home side.

FC Queen’s Park needed an 85th minute clincher from Liam Lawrence to progress 1-0 at Llangollen Town.

Hari Gould and Samuel Gostage struck for Cefn Mawr Rangers in a 2-1 verdict at Castell Alun Colts, Thomas Adams with a late response.

THE TWO COUNTIES CUP
Three ties produced a total of 26 goals.

Connah’s Quay Town led the way with a 9-1 caning of CPD Sychdyn.

Jake Reilly (3), Ryan Hewitt (2), Kyle Amos (2), Lee Jones and Jamie Wynne made up the home tally, Sam Vincent with a 90th minute consolation for the visitors.

Robert Reynolds (3), Dwayne Jones, Jack Sivill and a Paul Durrans own goal ensured Johnstown Youth eliminated Bellevue 6-3, David Holland (2) and Jason Ratcliffe netting for the away side.

Matthew Pritchard and Michael Jones both produced pairs in Ruabon Rovers’ 5-2 success over Railway Rovers.

Lee Price (penalty) made it five for the winners, Jordan Valentine (2, 1 pen) with late replies for the Railway.

THE RESERVE CUP
Three away wins out of four in this competition.

Hawarden Rangers were the only home victors, seeing off Llangollen Town 3-1 thanks to Luis Rowland (2) and Alun Wilson, Morgan Edwards the sole away marksman.

Doubles from Daniel Richardson and Elliot Bull helped Llay Welfare Colts overcome Castell Alun Colts 5-1.

Mickey Bagnall added another for Welfare, Allister Belk keeping up his consistent scoring run for Alun.

Kobie Betts (2), Corey Bellis, Harri Mitchell and Owen Pilson shared the limelight in a 5-1 result for Mynydd Isa Spartans at Cefn Mawr Rangers, whose only scorer was Bradley Dobson.

Jack Wakeman’s brace did the trick for CPD Caerwys in a 2-1 decision at Ruthin Town Development, Robert Jones having handed the hosts an early lead.
