NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE REPORTS – OCTOBER 16
PREMIER DIVISION
Phil Lloyd netted a 12-minute hat-trick as Halkyn and Flint Mountain rattled up a huge 12-0 victory at Overton Recreational.

Paul Williams and Mark Foster added two apiece, while there was one each for Connor Turner, Thomas Lynch, Jack James-Mantle, Lee Messham and Thomas Hyndman.

Leaders Chirk Town are still unbeaten after a 2-0 success over Hawarden Rangers made it 12 without defeat.

Tristan Lloyd grabbed both for the Taverners on 15 and 68 minutes, the second a penalty.

Second-place Greenfield made it six wins on the bounce by beating New Brighton Villa 4-2.

Dylan Roberts, Dean Hyland (pen) and a decisive Ryan Jones double secured the spoils, Kris Turner and Scott Davies replying.

Cefn Mawr Rangers edged past Castell Alun Colts 3-2, Kurt Issac, Ben Duffy and Perry Shoemark for the winners. Alistair Rendlesham and Daniel Woosey for the losers, who were three-down until the final quarter.

The ever-magical Barry Torrence bagged a hat-trick for FC Queen’s Park in their 4-0 thumping of Lex XI, Dan McGinnis adding a single.

Rupeni Thorn, Benjamin Wilson and a Shaun Thomson own goal ensured Llangollen Town finished on top 3-1 at Mynydd Isa Spartans, Jordan Walker responding.

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION
Penyffordd Lions are 12 points clear at the summit after a 6-2 pasting of Johnstown YFC made it 11 wins in 12 undefeated outings for the leaders.

Jordan Jones (2, 1 pen), Marcus Davies (2), Frederick Howarth and Oliver Johnson made up the home tally, Joshua Smith and Dwayne Jones getting the visitors on the scoreboard.

Connah’s Quay Town completed a seventh victory in eight matches – one draw – with a 7-0 whipping of Borras Park Albion.

John Coady (3), Jake Leonard, Jamie Wynne, Kyle Amos and Ryan Hewitt shared the goals for the second-place team.

CPD Bellevue put up a great battle before going down 3-2 at home to Railway Rovers.

David Holland and Jason Ratcliffe were the hosts’ marksmen, Liam Davies (2, 1 pen) and Joao Da Silva with the 75th minute winner for the visitors.

Dylan Sutcliffe, Matthew Harrison and Ethan Snell’s 86th minute leveller earned Brymbo Lodge a 3-3 split with Ruabon Rovers, Chris Bennion, Ryan Williams and Adam Jones all netting in the first half for the away side.

Keiye Williams was a hat-trick star for CPD Sychdyn in a 5-0 away drubbing of FC United of Wrexham, Nathan Large and Brandon Jones also on the mark.

RESERVE DIVISION
Hawarden Rangers beat Mynydd Isa Spartans 2-0 – and as a result both teams are now joint leaders with 26 points from 11 games.

Luis Rowland and Damon Bradley were on target for Rangers, who top the table on goal difference.

Gavin Hughes (pen), Joshua Ford (2) and Oliver Formstone guided Castell Alun Colts to a thrilling 4-3 triumph over Coedpoeth United, who led 3-1 thanks to Callan Roberts, Jack Parry and Sean Phelan. Colts scored three in the last 14 minutes to steal it.

Luke Harrington (2), Kacper Wojciech and Reece Jones combined to deliver Lex XI a 4-1 verdict against Llay Welfare Colts, Cameron Boyle the sole away scorer.

Huw Penge and Lewis Hitchen nabbed the goals which booked Llangollen Town a 2-1 decision over Ruthin Town Development, Joshua Glover replying.
