NEWFA have entered the Regions cup this season and the squad will be selected entirely from clubs in the North East Wales League.

Stewart Tarren (Aston Park Rangers) and Steve Lloyd (Cefn Albion) have been appointed by NEWFA to run the team and the first game will take place on Wednesday 11th March at Flint Town Utd, 7.30 kick off. Any club who has players who meet the criteria set out below should ask those players to contact either Stewart (07875527969) or Steve (07511007440) so they can take part in the training sessions prior to the game at Flint.

Player Eligibility

32. Players are eligible to play in the competition if they meet all of the following criteria throughout the competition.

32.01 Players must respect the criteria regarding amateur status and must be non-contract players.

32.02 Players must never have signed a contract as Professionals (see Chapter II of the FIFA Regulations for the Status and Transfer of Players).

32.03 Players must never have played in a non-amateur championship (professional league).

32.04 Players must never have played in the Welsh Premier League/League of Wales.

32.05 Players must be registered with a club that plays at Level 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, etc of the FAW pyramid. If a player has started the 2014/15 playing season with a club that plays at this Level of the FAW pyramid but is then transferred to a league/division in Level 2, 3 or 4, they remain eligible for the remainder of the FAW Regions Cup.

32.06 Players must respect the age requirements:
Players must be at least 19 on the date of their first appearance in the competition. Players must be under 40 on the date of their first appearance in the competition.

32.07 Players - including an unlimited number of foreign players - must have been duly registered as active players in Wales for at least two years without interruption on the date of their first appearance in the competition.

32.08 Players must never have played in UEFA competition matches (excluding the youth competitions, i.e. the European Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 Championships, as well as previous UEFA Regions' Cups and Futsal Competitions).
